'Brahma'
misconstrued

Very few people read the Gita. Some even treat it like a play from Shakespeare or a bestseller novel. 'Oh I read it in the month of July in 1999'. And how so often have you heard people say that Lord Krishna is full of self-conceit asking people to make obeisance to him, to worship him, to surrender to him ... " Oh! so vain ...what an egotist... how unholy!"

It must be made clear that in the Gita whenever Lord Krishna speaks in the first person, he is identifying himself with Brahma. "Then why should we worship Krishna at all, why not the four headed Brahma, the Creator in the Trinity ? "ask some.

Now, a lot of confusion has arisen on account of this word 'Brahma'. We have made an attempt to clarify the various usage and meaning of this word in the context of the Bhagavad Gita, and rather audaciously called it Brahma-Bhram ! Read on
